I have to be honest, as a fan of many different genres of music, I've always wondered why it seems that in the end, I tend to keep coming back to Country Music. Well, after listening to Tim McGraw's hit the love ballas, “Don't take the girl” I think I might of finally figured it out.
It has to be the way Country Music lends itself to the story and when you have an amazing, super talented artist like Tim McGraw painting that musical picture, well, the story comes to life.
The emotions are so real, its almost impossible to not feel them yourself.
On this particular track, Tims ability to tell such a simple love story and some how keep it so real even as the story turns dark, is simply phenomenal. As a listener, you are pretty much guaranteed a ride on the proverbial emotional roller coaster and when the song ends, you feel like you want more, yet you somehow know, everything works out.
Take a couple minutes and go on that emotional roller coaster yourself. But beware, if you really listen to the story Tim tells, you might need some Kleenex.
